The Bump it Up Maternity Clothing I can’t live without

By the time I reached 6-months in both pregnancies, my favourite jeans were too tight and I started to feel far from great in my usual go-to outfits. It can really take a chunk of your confidence when you haven’t got your favourite clothes for support any more. At first, I thought I could live in leggings and oversized tops. They’re great, but not all the time. That’s why I really encourage you to treat yourself to a few bits of maternity wear to help boost your confidence during your pregnancy, and help with that much-needed comfort.

The following are the pieces from Bump It Up that I couldn’t live without during my pregnancy so far:

Super Stretch Sequin Jeans

These have been my absolute life-savers since my bump has been more prominent. Not only does the comfort panel help smooth out my B shape bump; they don’t dig in at all either. They are so comfortable and don’t fall down. (Hooray!) I love the fact that they have a distressed look because they are the kind of jeans I would usually wear (when I’m not growing someone inside me). They’re wardrobe staples and I’ll be wearing them even once the baby is here.

Floral Print Bardot Top

I’m a floral fan and I’ll always opt for this print for a confidence boost. I’ve lived in this top for a lot of the warm weather so far this year. It’s loose, comfortable and a perfect fit on my arms. The big thing for me is that it sweeps over my bump, without making it look like I’m wearing a smock top. This is a simply put on and go top that has been a winner at helping me keep cool but feel confident.

White Cami with Secret Support

This is one maternity basic that has helped me make the most out of the rest of my wardrobe. I wear a white cami with so many outfits, under shirts, kimonos, dresses and even to bed. As the bump gets bigger, my regular cami tops are too snug on my belly and aren’t quite long enough for me to feel comfortable. The Bump It Up cami is great for a few reasons: it’s super soft, stretchy and a great length. It has simple side ruching that isn’t obvious, but gives that extra stretch and space around the belly. Plus, it has hidden secret support for the bust, so those swollen breasts (that we’ll all get at some point) can feel a little happier.

Navy & White Polka Dot Dress

One of my favourite dresses I’ve ever worn, let alone when I’m pregnant! This is such a pretty dress that ticks all the boxes for making me feel confident. The sleeves are the perfect length. It’s a fit and flare shape so it glides beautifully over my bump. It’s one of those dresses that really make me look pregnant and I like that! The elasticated ruched bodice means it’s perfect for any size chest and it’s a lovely and soft jersey fabric. I’ve worn it a lot throughout this pregnancy and each time I’ve worn it, I’ve had the “OMG, you’re glowing” comment. Honestly, it’s not me, it’s the dress!

Girl/Boy Magic Sequins T-Shirt

This may not be an absolutely vital piece of clothing, but it’s one that means a lot to me in this pregnancy and it will probably stay in my memory box. It’s a great fitting casual t-shirt with a sequin heart on. If you move the sequins one way, it says ‘BOY’ and swipe them the other way and it says ‘GIRL’. It’s how we did our gender reveal and I absolutely loved it. You can of course wear it throughout your pregnancy as a really cool and casual top. For me, this is the perfect gender reveal idea.
